How Conference Minutes are calculated
 
Most conference call companies (including Genesis) calculate your bill the exact same way
  • First, conferencing minutes are calculated by multiplying the number of participants by the total number of minutes.
  • Next, your monthly rate is calculated by multiplying conferencing minutes by your per minute rate. (See examples below)
    If you had a 25 minute conference call  with 4 participants all dialing the 1800 number.
 
The cost would be: 4 participants x 25 minutes x $0.79 cents = $7.90
The cost is normally based on how many lines you have and how long they are connected.  Our customers use a 1800 (also known as a toll free) number. This is because the call is free for the participants (when they join from a land line or Mobile Phone
 
500 Minute Example: You have 5 conference calls per month. Each conference call lasts for 25 minutes and has 4 participants. The amount of minutes used would be 5*25*4 = 500 minutes. This would be billed at 7.9 cents per minute so the total cost would be $39.50
